Places we know and love, along with our tips for discovering them at the right time: avoiding the crowds in the height of summer, finding a more secluded beach, choosing a restaurant, or simply experiencing this part of Corsica differently.

Where to find Saint Lucy’s Eyes?
Searching for a Saint Lucy’s Eye on the beaches of Southern Corsica is one of those simple pleasures that can turn a walk along the shore into a treasure hunt. Between Porto-Vecchio and Bonifacio, we have our favourite spot: Balistra Beach, wild, unspoilt and often surprisingly generous after the sea has been stirred by the wind.

Wild Boar Beach, our secret cove
Just north of Cala Longa, near Bonifacio, a tiny beach with no real name has become known to us as “Wild Boar Beach”. A discreet little cove in Southern Corsica, still remarkably peaceful even in August, where we come for the tranquillity and to explore its surprisingly rich underwater life with just a mask and snorkel.

Which beaches in Southern Corsica allow dogs?
Travelling to Southern Corsica with your dog and enjoying the sea is entirely possible. Around Porto-Vecchio and Bonifacio, several beaches welcome dogs on a lead, making it easy to combine a holiday in the Corsican sunshine with your four-legged companion.

Just fifteen minutes from BellaSotta, the beach of Santa Giulia reveals an entirely different character in June or September. Far from the summer crowds, its turquoise water, sculpted rocks and wooden jetty become a rare privilege for those who know when to come.
